Keeping your tea free of toxic chemicals is clearly better for your health. But, it’s not just what we leave out that matters – it’s all the goodness that goes in. Countless studies have shown that organic foods have a higher nutritional value. In fact, recent international research found that organic plant-based foods (like Tea Tonic tea) contain around 25% more nutrients than non-organic equivalents. If you’re going to drink tea, why not make every cup count? Plus, the beauty of the organic market is that the benefits extend beyond the consumer. Conventionally grown tea is one of the most environmentally damaging crops in the world. The chemicals not only wreak havoc with the ecosystem, they also harm the farmers who spray them. Organic tea, on the other hand, is grown in harmony with nature – usually by small, local farmers who take enormous pride in their product. Most of their teas are safe to drink while pregnant. Well-Being and Relaxation Tea are highly recommended, during this stage. With the Australiana Tea we would avoid this in the first trimester as it has a naturally occurring very high volatile oil content, and essential oils should be avoided. If you suffer high blood pressure during your pregnancy, I would also avoid Licorice Lover Tea and Throat Soother Tea.
